Then slowly (well, actually, not so slowly) it makes its way uptown to Wall Street where the mayor is delivering a speech in front of the George Washington Memorial across the street from the New York Stock Exchange.

Nothing can make a politician stop giving a speech, except maybe a couple of huge claws and several hundred feet of monster.
