| Definition of Activities |Means of Fund Raising | Contribution Levels for Donors | Planned Activities The following is a tentative list of activities by the IDM Parent Organization for IDM 98:

Public encouragement to various institutions, publications, and media to put on educational and entertaining events related to dinosaurs and science during October 1 - 31, 1998
Coordination of an International Calendar of the planned events which will be available on line through this website and ultimately in a printed publication.
Publication of a booklet defining the goals and contribution levels for IDM98
Distribution of the booklet to every science museum in the world, to selected libraries in the English speaking world, and selected major school systems in the English speaking world (IDM 99 will officially begin to include schools and libraries in non-English speaking countries, but IDM 98 would welcome participation from all countries: this restriction reflects anticipated financial constaints and does not reflect any viewpoint on English as a universal language)
Production of one or more full color posters in honor of IDM 98
Distribution of this poster to every science museum in the world, to as many libraries and school systems as possible (depending upon available budget).
Placement of advertising in selected magazines, newspapers, and web publications to announce and promote both the umbrella event (IDM 98) and selected major events.
Production and distribution of an attractive, commemorative magazine or book containing the International Calendar of Events and articles and drawings by prominent individuals in the sciences.
Establishment of a fund to cover: 1) future IDM events 2) scientific research 3) educational events relating to the promotion of science..

Means of Fundraising Intermational Dinosaur Month will be incorporated as a United States not-for-profit organization. This will allow corporations and private individuals to make tax-deductible contributions to the effort. All funds will be used solely for the educational purposes of the organization Sources of funding will be:

1) Donations

2) Sales of advertising on the IDM98 Website

3) Sales of advertising in the various booklets, posters, and other publications produced in connection with the event.

4) Sales of various other IDM 98 related products.

Contribution Levels for Donors

**International Dinosaur Month** is presented as a not-for-profit event for the sole purpose of promoting good science education and the institutions and individuals that provide it.
Donors will be rewarded not only with the satisfaction of an important contribution to public education and dinosaur research, but also with certain tangible publicity.
All Donors will be listed prominently on the IDM98 Website.
Donors may also chose to be anonymous.
All donations will be tax deductable as provided for by applicable law.
All Posters, Books, and Advertising benefits are tentative and subject to a final donation agreement.

International Dinosaur Month (R) TM is a not-for-profit educational event. The name and/or logo International Dinosaur Month may be used to promote any educational dinosaur event presented by a bona-fide educational institution, museum, or not-for-profit organization anywhere in the world during October 1-31, 1998 provided we are notified of the event, date and time a minimum of 30 days in advance and that no product is made or sold without our written permission. All events will be listed here and in a proposed Event Book. Commercial organizations may apply for use of the name and/or logo which will be granted gratis under certain circumstances and may purchase licensing rights (our primary means of fund-raising).
