Synopsis
.
Part One
Set in Japan in about 1999, a the Godzilla Prediction Network (GPN) takes a news reporter with when when they go to look for Godzilla who, in case you just don't get this, is sort of back and hanging around the coast of Nemuro. Well, we've been told unofficially that this is the Big G's son we're dealing with here, since the Big Green Guy himself bought the farm in 1995's Godzilla vs. Destoroyah, cover and somebody else says that in this movie Godzilla just sort of, umm, well, re-appears for no particular reason,b ut what do we know.
The Godzilla Prediction Network is headed by that cute little girl who is smarter than almost everybody else in the movie. Yes, we know the picture is backwards. Just wanted to see if you were paying attention. (c)2000 TohoAnyway guess who the trio runs into?

Ayup, as they would say in Maine.  It's HIM!  Well, this imbecile, greedy reporter takes a flash photo when they're like sitting just underneath the Big G's nose. Bad move, lady. Just a little annoyed, Godzilla wipes out the whole city with the exception of the GPN which manages to drive away before it's too late.

Meanwhile, an old pal of the GPN has found  a 60 million year old rock was discovered that he wants to raise up from the bottom of the ocean since, apparently, he can make money from that somehow. (Now lissen, he's already rich and just because we don't understand why he does it doesn't mean that there isn't a good reason for him to do it, okay?)

All of a sudden, the rock floats up to the surface and does a way kewl circus act where it sits up on its edge. Then it floats away into the sky looking for Godzilla in Tokai Mura.

Godzilla and this rock don't like each other very much, so the Big G tries to BarBQ it with  his ultra-powerful fire breath (incredibly stronger thanbefore) and melts down the rock to reveal a UFO!!! T

he UFO blows Godzilla back into the sea with a hyperblaster but lands
and ceases all activities due to the damage caused by Godzilla. Later, the UFO takes off for
Shinjuku where the final battle between the UFO and Godzilla takes place. The UFO transforms
into a monster dubbed Orga and resumes attacks on Godzilla. Can Godzilla defeat the strange
alien creature? What other tricks do these titans have up their sleeves?
the original with
a brand new look and a powered up atomic ray. This time he battles a mysterious UFO that later
transforms into a mysterious kaiju dubbed Orga. They meet up for the final showdown in the city
                         of Shinjuku.
