The hero of the show was a little boy named Beany. You can see him up above sitting on Bob Clampett's arm. But he wasn't based on The Lost World. His friend Cecil was.

Remember that back in 1925, Bob had come home from the movies and immediately made a puppet? Well that puppet -- based on the Brontosaurus in The Lost World became the basis of a brand new character for Time for Beany, the new TV show.

The Brontosaurus is too heavy for the Tower Bridge in London.
The frightened Brontosaurus wanders onto the Tower Bride in London. The bridge collapses under its weight.

The brontosaurus swimming down the Thames in The Lost World, 1925
Dumped into the water, the Brontosaurus swims out to sea.

The dinosaur's neck sticking up out of the water, inspired Cecil The Seasick Sea Serpent shown here swimming along side of the Leakin' Lena.
