Conflict with Kron

Aladar's innovative thinking and compassion for the "misfit" members of the herd brings him into conflict with Kron, the rigid and stone-hearted leader of the group, and his loyal lieutenant Bruton.

Aladar and Neera.

Kron has a sister named Neera. Because they share a viewpoint about cooperation, Neera and Aladar become friends

Threatened by Aladar's ideas, Kron separates them and drives Aladar away from the band.
