The Lost World, the world's first, important feature-length dinosaur movie (1925), is based upon the classic 1912 story by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle. Famed for creating Sherlock Holmes, Doyle wrote a number of stories about Professor Challenger including this one and The Poison Belt!
