               Tim Haines qualified from Bangor University with a B.Sc. in  Applied Zoology in 1982. He became a scientific journalist,  first on newspapers, then for the World Service and Radio 4.
               He joined the Nature programme at the BBC TV Natural  History Unit, moving to BBC TV Science in 1988. He has  worked on many of the major BBC science series, and has   produced a number of award-winning Horizons, including the  Ice Mummy trilogy.

               Jasper James has been working in the BBC Science Department since 1993 when he started as a Director on the BBC 1's topical science programme Tomorrow's World.
               He went on to be Producer of the weekly show as well as making several specials. In March '96 he went on to  produce 3 episodes of the even more forward looking BBC 1series Future Fantastic - a fantastically futuristic romp through science's next 300 years. In a switch from far future to prehistoric past, he joined Walking with Dinosaurs in September '97, produced and directed two of the episodes and the 50 minute documentary "Walking with Dinosaurs -  The Making Of" which accompanied the series.
